text-to-self:This book connects to myself in lots of ways actually. Being in middle school, i feel like its all about finding yourself. To be honest, I think I am still trying to find who I really am. Just like Pudge he was experiencing new things, making new friends, and struggled through lots of things to finally realize who he really was. Maybe I wont find who I truly am until high school, but i can definitely relate to him in other various ways.

text-to-text:This book kind of reminding me of a past book I read called Perks of Being a Wallflower, because in this book Charlie the main character was trying to find himself, and started off as having no friends, and being unhappy, but in the end was very happy with plently of friends, and experienced traumatic things just like Pudge. Also Charlie and Pudge both try alcohal, drugs, and wanted to have sex with that one special person they fell in love with.

text-to-world:This book also relates to many real world situations. Pudge and his friends are in high school, and ofcourse get involved in drinking alcohal, and doing drugs. In the real world, many high schoolers tend to drink and do drugs illegally, but I think its all apart of life experiences and curiousity.
